Our Hiring Process

We only hire the best and well-trained applicants to join our team. Applicants must complete ALL of the steps of the hiring process to be considered for employment. You must be willing to provide all information and submit to a drug test and background check.

Complete Employment Application

Applications can be filled out online or completed in our office by making an appointment.

Personal Interview

Your interview with MediQuest Staffing will focus on your work history, job qualifications, scheduling preferences and type of assignments desired.


You will be required to submit 3 work-related, professional references and / or letters of recommendation. These references must provide relevant information about the quality of your work, work habits and reliability.

Personal Identification

You will need to provide a form of current photo identification. A passport or driver's license is acceptable. A social security card or employment eligibility card is required as well.

License / Certification Verification

Your certification or license will be verified through the State Board of Nursing or the PA Nurse Aide Registry.


All MediQuest RN and LPN employees are required to be CPR certified. We encourage CNAs to become CPR certified through our CPR training program.

Background Checks

  • Local Magistrate background check
  • PA State Police criminal background check
  • Inspector General background check
  • PennDOT background check
  • Proof of 2-year residency required*

* The PA Department of Health requires an FBI background check for applicants who have not lived in the state of Pennsylvania for the last two consecutive years.

Drug Screening

Drug screening is performed at the time of employment and randomly thereafter.

Physical Examination Health Statement

You will need to obtain a statement from your current health care provider that verifies you are free of communicable diseases, have no physical limitations that would prevent you from performing your duties, and are in good physical condition.

You will also need to submit to an annual TB test/screening, flu vaccine, and provide an immunization record for Chicken Pox, DPT, MMR, Polio, and Hepatitis B.

Job Duty Checklists / Test

You must possess all of the skills specific to the job duties you will perform. LPNs and CNAs must also pass a competency test annually.


After you are hired, you will attend orientation at the MediQuest Staffing office. You will receive information regarding our benefits, policies, and procedures.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Must I work a minimum number of hours each week or month?

Employees are not required to work a minimum number of hours per week but must work two shifts per month. However, employees must let us know their availability each month. If an employee does not work for a month or more with no contact with MediQuest, it will be considered a voluntary resignation.

I'm currently attending school. Can you work around my class schedule?

Yes. We encourage continuing education for all of our employees and work with you to schedule working hours around your academic schedule.

Can I keep my job with my current employer and work for MediQuest also?

Yes. We work with your schedule and your availability. You tell us when you want to work and we schedule your assignments around your availability.

What if I like a particular facility and would like to work for them as their employee?

You just have to tell us and we will contact the proper representative of the facility to begin the proceedings for you to become part of their staff.
